Our Delivery Policy

  • Order by 11am on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for next day delivery.  

    *The first day for delivery after a bank holiday weekend will be Wednesday.

      **As we use a courier, we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time but the courier will contact you with a two hour delivery window.

      ***Delivery times as outlined above may be affected during busy times such as Christmas, New Year, Easter and other holidays. Please confirm delivery dates by looking at the updates on thefishstop.ie.

      ****We have a certain number of delivery slots available each day. If these slots are filled when your order is placed and we are unable to deliver on the day as outlined above, we will let you know as soon as reasonably possible so that we can make alternative arrangements.

      *****Our products will be sealed in airtight packaging and stored in a temperature-controlled box surrounded by cooling agents. The temperature will remain below 5 degrees Celsius until you open the box. Our sealed boxes will remain chilled for up to 48 hours after we package them. 

      How Can I Cancel My Order?

      If you change your mind, just call us before 11.00am and we will cancel the order and refund you. Once your order has been prepared, it's too late to cancel. Once your order has left, it is too late!

      It's simple, select what you want, add to cart and pay! 

      Can I Amend My Order?

      If we can do it, then we will. Just pick up the phone and give us a call. However, please bare with us during busy periods. 

      How Much Is Delivery?

      We offer free NATIONWIDE delivery on online orders over the value of €50. Orders under that value incur a standard delivery charge of €7.50.

      What Happens If I'm Not Home?

      For delivery we use the couriers Fastway and DPD on the Island of Ireland for our fish boxes. Both our couriers deliver door–to –door, but you must insure you are available or make prior arrangements to collect your order.

      Our fish boxes are insulated, and we ensure ice packs are in packages to ensure freshness. Our Smoked Fish Products (Smoked Mackerel, Marinated Herring and Smoked Salmon) are fresh for two days without chilling, this tends to be maximum time to arrive at your destination. The fish has been smoked, salted and vacuum packed which ensures preservation.

      Our Fresh Fish Products are vacuum packed* and placed in our insulated fish boxes with ice packs, this will ensure low temperatures until you open your box. Fish boxes should remain chilled for two days, this tends to be the maximum time to arrive at your destination. On arrival refrigerate your fish products and enjoy in all their culinary beauty!

      I Live Locally. Can I Pick Up My Order From The Fish Stop?

      We have local pick-up available on our website; please ensure in the notes section the time you will be available to collect. This ensures fish is fresh and ready for collection on time.

      It is essential to provide necessary information such as phone, email and postcode at checkout, this ensures our courier can easily contact you if necessary.
